Soon we will begin the conversations between Brother Giovanni and Franco. The opinions expressed here will be those of the speakers and are not necessarily the opinions of “The Pizzaonian” or its editorial staff.
The conversations between Brother Giovanni and Brother Franco began informally as an extension of our Monastery Seminar Seminars. They grew in popularity and soon became a regular event.
It is the decision of “The Pizzaonian” editorial staff to publish these conversations in the interim period as we wait for the appointment of the new editor and chief for all Pizzaonian publications. .
The actual conversations will begin with Friday’s posting in “The Pizzaonian.” Brother Giovanni left me with the following words as a direction there conversations may take. Thank you.
Sister Veronica, Supreme Pizzaonian

Democracy not only needs a majority vote; it needs a majority of the voters to vote for the system to work.
From the journals of Brother Giovanni and Brother Franco
After spending so much time immersed in Pizzaonian culture and politics it is difficult to adjust to American politics. The difference is simple: Pizzaonian politics is about finding solutions; American politics is absorbed in building power blocs.
Of course, Pizzaonia is a beta-world that makes everything easier, but it allows us to see how destructive democracy can be to its ideals when governing is no longer the goal.
Again, we find ourselves dependent on the People, always our last resort and redeeming quality. Let us hope enough of you show up and vote to make things right again. Democracy not only needs a majority vote; it needs a majority of independent voters to vote for the system to work.
“Look at the tyranny of party -- at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty -- a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes -- and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits……………”
