As the American election approaches, Pizzaonians watch with fascination. As a result in this renewed interest, The Pizzaonian will spend more time covering events in the United States.
We have our critics. Many object to Abe Surdity's coverage and believe his political commentary is better suited for a comedy show than real news. Part of the problem is the confusion Pizzaonians have about American politics.
In our beta-world country, politics* is about governing. In the United States, politics is about getting elected. People here feel that if you govern well, the election is a forgone conclusion. Americans consider this notion quaint at best, and certainly naive.
We hope to bring a better understanding to our readers of the American election process. We know this is a difficult task. However, we will not forget our mission that news is about entertainment. Since we know this is the American way, it should make our task easier.

*note: elections in Pizzaonia are only symbolic since we have evolved beyond the need for government.
