Because Americans are so tired of being lied to and bamboozled by their politicians, they have never been more susceptible to being lied to and bamboozled by their politicians – all you need to do is give the illusion of being authentic and outspoken with no reluctance to say what is on your mind.
Add to this the impression of being above politics and not susceptible to the current political establishment, and you will have perspective voters panting and out of breath waiting for your next utterance.
Never has the political table been set so brilliantly. And the beat goes on and on and on……….
The message to individual Christians today could never be clearer: As a Christian, you have an obligation to see that your government serves the poor and those most in need of compassion and help.
It seems that some consider this an “entitlement” philosophy. They make the assumption that any government program that creates a service to help people to take advantage of opportunity is wrong.
In fact, if the service rendered to people in need creates dependency and nothing else, there is much merit to their opinion.
This gets to the heart of the problem. When you create a government program whose intent is compassion and service to those most in need, the creation of the service does not end the Christian’s responsibility.
Equally important is the follow through necessary to see that the program works.
This is the step where everything falls apart and provides the fuel that drives the most antigovernment, conservatives.
This again raises the question: What are “people of faith” doing about it?

"Today information is both ubiquitous and abundant and its acquisition is considered by many to be knowledge and wisdom. Of course it is neither. Information is simply raw material to be refined by the wise for its applied value."
This distinction separates the wise from the deluded.

Our inside informant told us today that they were informed by an unnamed aide close to one of the current, but not yet named, presidential candidates that in the next few days their candidate will break with all precedents and start talking about issues.
As hard as it is to believe, we are assured this information is correct. When asked why this was about to happen our informant told us they had determined by their polling stats their candidate will lose the election by continuing with the current election strategy of trashing their opponent.
“This is a desperation strategy that we know is unheard of, but we feel that desperate circumstances call for desperate actions. We are aware that the American people are not used to dealing with the hard facts, but that is the chance we will have to take,” said our informant.
This will be interesting to watch and see unfold. No one in our newsroom can remember a presidential election in recent history that dealt with issues. Please know we checked our information carefully before releasing this news bulletin. This is also unprecedented.
